District Metals Intersects 155 Meters of Alum Shale in First Drill Hole at Target A on the Viken Property in Sweden

October 13, 2026 – District Metals Corp. (TSX-V: DMX) (Nasdaq First North: DMXSE SDB) (OTCQX: DMXCF) (FRA: DFPP); (“District” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the first drill hole, VIK-26-001, completed at Target A on the Viken Property (Figures 1 to 3) in Jämtland County, central Sweden, intersected a thick interval of Alum Shale from 43.7 to 198.5 m representing a downhole interval of 154.8 m (Table 1).

This successful intersection demonstrates that the MobileMT geophysical survey flown by District in 2025 has identified a shallow and thick sequence of graphitic Alum Shale associated with the strongly conductive signature exhibited by Target A. This result provides important initial validation of the Company’s geophysical targeting approach and supports the use of MobileMT to identify prospective Alum Shale targets outside of the Viken Deposit.

Garrett Ainsworth, CEO of District, commented: “We are very pleased by the results from our first drill hole at Target A, which intersected a 154.8 m interval of Alum Shale starting at a shallow depth of 43.7 m downhole. This is an important initial success for our exploration program and provides confirmation that the MobileMT geophysical survey flown in 2025 is an effective tool for identifying shallow, thick sequences of Alum Shale on the Viken Property.

Our objective is to use modern geophysical techniques to identify additional prospective areas across our extensive land position and to better understand the distribution and potential of Alum Shale beyond the known Viken Deposit. The results from drill hole VIK-26-001 represent a successful first step in evaluating Target A, and the broader exploration potential of the Viken Property.”

Next Steps

District will continue drilling broadly across Target Areas A and B by integrating geological drill data with geophysical interpretations to refine our understanding of the distribution and continuity of Alum Shales. Further information will be provided as the drill program advances.

Geochemical results will be required to determine the presence, grade and continuity of mineralized Alum Shale horizons, as visual drill core logging and radioactivity alone is not sufficient to establish mineralization.

Notes:

  • All intervals are core lengths, and true thickness is yet to be determined. A mineral resource estimate is required before true thickness can be estimated.
  • A handheld Exploranium GR-110 scintillometer was used to record radioactivity in counts per second (CPS) across the drill core.

District Commences Drilling at the Viken Property in Sweden

October 6, 2026 – District Metals Corp. (TSX-V: DMX) (Nasdaq First North: DMXSE SDB) (OTCQX: DMXCF) (FRA: DFPP); (“District” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the commencement of diamond drilling at its Viken Property in Jämtland County, central Sweden.

Arctic DS AB, a Swedish subsidiary of Arctic Drilling AS, has resumed core drilling at the Company’s Viken Property with most of their drill crew from Jämtland and Västerbotten Counties. The 2026 drill program at the Viken Property is focused on Target Areas A and B (Figure 1), two large conductive anomalies identified by the Company’s 2025 airborne MobileMT survey. Both target areas remain largely untested by drilling and represent priority exploration targets at the Viken Property.

Target Areas A and B have not been systematically drill tested, with historical drilling in 2008 limited primarily to their periphery. Those drill holes intersected significant intervals of mineralized alum shale, providing geological support for further investigation of the broader target areas.

Target Areas A and B are located approximately 1.7 km and 7.5 km, respectively, north to northwest of the Viken Energy Metals Deposit. Notably, the conductive responses identified by the MobileMT survey are larger and stronger than the conductive signature associated with the Viken Deposit itself, making these compelling targets for the current drill program.

The number of drill holes and total meters completed will be guided by geological observations and uraniferous radiometric measurements collected during drilling. The program forms part of District’s approved 2026 exploration budget of approximately 5,000 to 7,000 meters across the Viken and Alum Shale Properties.

Garrett Ainsworth, CEO of District, commented: “We are excited to commence drilling at Target Areas A and B, which represent some of the most compelling untested targets identified at the Viken Property. The combination of large and strong conductive anomalies from our 2025 MobileMT survey and the presence of peripheral mineralized alum shale from historical drilling provides a strong geological rationale for testing these areas laterally and at depth. This program is designed to determine whether the significant MobileMT conductive responses are associated with uranium and other energy metals mineralization similar to the Viken Deposit.”
