Agora customers, including Sweekar, Kata Friends, and Robosen, will showcase physical products that use conversational AI to create more natural and personalized user interactions.

“Creating an AI companion like Sweekar requires the conversation to feel as natural and engaging as the physical product itself,” said Irving Gao, Founder and CEO of Takway AI, creator of Sweekar. “Agora gives us a strong conversational foundation without requiring our team to build that infrastructure from the ground up. That allows us to move faster and focus our resources on the experiences that differentiate Sweekar—its evolving personality, memory, and the relationship it builds with each user.”

“Physical AI represents the next major shift in how people interact with technology. As conversational AI moves off the screen and into the devices around us, the companies that stand out will be those that make these interactions feel natural, personal, and genuinely useful,” said Lawrence Wu, Head of IoT at Agora. “For hardware brands, that creates an opportunity to transform everyday devices into differentiated experiences that build stronger engagement and deliver more value over time. Agora is providing the foundation to help developers bring those experiences to market faster and scale them across devices without rebuilding the technology stack for every new product.”

Gradium's industry-leading text-to-speech technology will be available in Agora Conversational AI Engine later this month, giving developers another high-performance option for building natural, low-latency voice AI experiences.

SAN JOSE, CA, Agora, Inc. (NASDAQ: API), the leading platform for real-time engagement, and Gradium, today announced a strategic partnership to bring Gradium's Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology directly into Agora Conversational AI Engine.

Developers building voice AI agents on Conversational AI Engine will be able to enable Gradium's TTS with a single configuration—no separate accounts, no additional orchestration layer, no extra latency hops.

"Conversational AI Engine is where developers come to build production-grade voice agents, and the quality of the voice layer is everything. By integrating Gradium's ultra-low latency TTS with Agora’s platform, we're giving developers another high-quality voice option that helps them deliver responsive, lifelike conversational experiences with less complexity."

— Patrick Ferriter, SVP Product, Agora

"Agora gives voice agent developers global real-time infrastructure. Pairing that with Gradium TTS inside Conversational AI Engine means teams get low-latency speech synthesis without building the transport layer themselves."

— Neil Zeghidour, CEO, Gradium

Expanding the Conversational AI Ecosystem

The upcoming integration with Gradium expands the growing ecosystem of AI providers available through Agora. Beginning later this month, developers will be able to combine Agora's real-time infrastructure with Gradium's low-latency text-to-speech technology to build more responsive conversational AI experiences while choosing the providers that best meet their performance and deployment requirements.

According to Gradium, its streaming TTS delivers a median time-to-first-audio (P50) of approximately 155 milliseconds under concurrent load. The integration will also provide access to voice cloning and deployment options spanning cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.

Agora's global real-time network, with 200+ points of presence across six continents, provides Gradium's TTS a distribution channel and infrastructure layer it would otherwise take years to build independently. Developers building conversational AI capabilities with Agora are exactly the audience Gradium was built for—teams shipping production voice agents who need every millisecond and won't tolerate variable latency under load.

What Developers Get

Developers will be able to enable Gradium TTS directly from their project settings. The integration will include:

  • Low-latency TTS over WebSocket, multiplexed across conversation turns

  • Voice cloning from a 10-second audio sample, available on all Gradium plans

  • Five deployment modes: cloud, inference partners, dedicated, private cloud, and on-premises, all on the same API surface

  • TTS and STT as well as voice cloning for English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese

June 17, 2026

Seoul, South Korea (June 16, 2026) - Agora (NASDAQ: API), a global leader in real-time business communication platforms, announced that it has developed a next-generation AI agent-based telephone survey solution, powered by Voice AI agents that conduct automated telephone interviews, to lead the digital transformation of the research industry, in conjunction with Smart Tech Korea, the nation’s largest tech business exhibition. The solution leverages Agora's Voice AI agent technology to conduct automated telephone surveys while maintaining the standardization and reliability required for professional research.

This marks an unusual move for Agora, which has previously focused on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings based on Real-Time Communication (RTC) technology, by introducing a customized solution tailored to the sophisticated needs of a specific industry sector. This solution was developed specifically for the public opinion and market research sectors, which demand a high degree of reliability and objectivity.

Simply Upload a Questionnaire and Let AI Do the Heavy Lifting—Boosting Efficiency Through Template-Based Management

The AI survey solution developed by Agora uses Voice AI agents to conduct automated telephone surveys while maximizing the convenience of research operations. When users upload questionnaires, guidelines, and FAQs in Hangul (Word) file format to the system, the AI analyzes them and automatically generates prompts tailored to the survey’s objectives.

Additionally, standardized templates can be saved and reused for each ongoing survey (campaign) without the need to set up new agents each time, dramatically reducing the workload for marketing and research professionals.

Standardization at the Core of Research: Consistent Question Delivery and Structured Data Collection

Existing AI voice interview solutions have been criticized for compromising the objectivity of survey results due to variations in accents and the nuance of questions depending on the agent.

In contrast, Agora’s solution never arbitrarily alters the survey’s original questions. It only flexibly adjusts filler words to maintain a natural flow of conversation while ensuring that core questions are delivered identically to all respondents, thereby strictly maintaining survey standardization.

Natural Conversation and Confirmation Interactions

Instead of making arbitrary assumptions about ambiguous answers, the system goes through a reconfirmation process and uses standardized confirmation prompts to prevent incorrect responses.

Sophisticated Skip Logic Support

It accurately handles complex conditional branching, skipping to the next question or changing the survey path based on respondents’ answers (e.g., gender, age, etc.).

Data Structuring

Collected responses are automatically mapped to question codes (Q1, Q2, etc.)—single-choice answers as integer values and multiple-choice answers as binary values (0 or 1)—and immediately provided in raw-data format.

Built for Scale: Supporting Up to 30,000 Concurrent Calls with Reduced Latency

Currently, this solution runs on OpenAI’s latest large language model (LLM), GPT-4o, and has already demonstrated stable performance with 300 concurrent calls during the pilot phase. Designed to support up to 30,000 concurrent connections upon full commercial launch, it offers exceptional scalability, enabling the completion of large-scale opinion polls in just two hours.

Agora is also concurrently working on enhancements to reduce response latency, a key concern in the research field. Once a dedicated domestic production server is established, latency is expected to be reduced by approximately one second or more compared to the current staging environment. Additionally, the company is continuing optimization tests using various models, such as GPT-4o mini, to find the optimal balance between accuracy and speed.

Don Lim, General Manager of Agora Korea, stated, “This AI agent survey solution was developed with a focus on sophisticated logic and standardization, to the extent that it can even replace political opinion polls, which require strict protocols.” He added, “Starting with Smart Tech Korea, we plan to strengthen cooperation with industry stakeholders and explore commercialization through API and SaaS business models that can be easily adopted by organizations of all sizes in the future.”
