Fiscal year ends June Quarters are offset from the calendar — Q1 is Jul–Sep

Transense Technologies plc develops and supplies sensor technology and measurement solutions through two divisions. The SAWsense division provides Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensors for non-contact measurement of torque, temperature, force, and pressure in demanding applications. These sensors are used in aerospace, electric motors and drives, off-highway machinery, industrial machinery, robotics, and motorsport. The Translogik division supplies the TLGX range of handheld tyre inspection tools that digitally capture tread depth, pressure, and RFID data for fleet operators, tyre suppliers, and service centres. The company was founded in 1991 and holds over 35 international patents. Notable partnerships include licensing agreements with Bridgestone Corporation for iTrack technology, a joint collaborative agreement with McLaren Applied for motorsport applications, and a memorandum of understanding with Meggitt SA for aerospace sensor licensing. Transense also collaborates with Unison, a GE Aerospace company, on torque-sensing technology for hybrid-electric flight propulsion.

Transense secures Continental contract for next-generation smart tyre tool

Ryan Maughan MD at Transense Translogik

Transense Technologies plc, through its Translogik division, has secured a development and supply contract with Continental, one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers, for a next-generation digital tyre management tool.

Under the agreement, Translogik will develop a bespoke version of its handheld TLGX device, incorporating specific enhanced functionality to meet Continental's operational requirements.

The project expands a long-standing relationship between the two companies as the commercial vehicle industry responds to increasing regulatory and operational demands, including the adoption of TPMS technologies, digital tyre inspections and forthcoming EU Digital Product Passport requirements that will increase the need for tyre traceability and lifecycle data management.

Continental plans to deploy the new tool across its global service network, providing technicians with a single integrated solution where multiple devices have traditionally been required.

Subject to completion, the six-month funded programme is expected to generate more than £700,000 a year for Transense while strengthening Translogik’s position in digital tyre management, traceability and connected maintenance.

Ryan Maughan, managing director at Transense Technologies plc, commented: "We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Continental through this development programme.

“Our TLGX platform has established a strong reputation for supporting digital tyre management, and this project reflects the increasing demand for integrated solutions as tyre management becomes more connected and data-driven. We believe this programme represents an important commercial opportunity for Translogik and provides a strong platform for future growth."

Pascal Neumann, product manager, digital solutions at Continental, commented: "Digitalisation is transforming tyre management and creating opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality and service delivery. We look forward to working with the Translogik team to develop a solution tailored to the evolving requirements of our global service network."

Transense and Unison collaboration advances next-gen propulsion in hybrid-electric flight

Ge aerospace epfd

Transense Technologies plc and Unison, a GE Aerospace company, have highlighted a collaboration that helped advance torque-sensing technology for next-generation aerospace propulsion.

The technology powered the first hybrid-electric flight above 30,000 feet and the first hybrid-electric transatlantic crossing, a milestone displayed at the prestigious Farnborough International Airshow.

The application combined Transense’s SAWsense torque sensing technology with Unison’s aerospace engineering, industrialisation, qualification, and integration expertise.

Transense supplied the foundational sensing technology, while Unison adapted and advanced the technology for the airborne demonstration at one of the world’s leading aerospace events.

The demonstration highlights continued progress in the development of technologies intended to support more efficient hybrid-electric propulsion concepts into the future.

“This is an important milestone for advanced propulsion development and for the role of torque sensing in future aircraft propulsion technologies,” said Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies plc. “We are proud to see our foundational SAWsense technology incorporated into Unison’s industrialised solution and successfully demonstrated at the Farnborough International Airshow.”

For aviation innovators, the demonstration provides a high-profile example of how specialised sensing technology can move from laboratory development into flight-relevant applications, supporting the industry’s broader push toward next-generation aircraft propulsion.

“The flight demonstration at Farnborough reflects the strength of combining differentiated sensing technology with aerospace application engineering, qualification and integration,” said Josh Friedman, Engineering Leader at Unison. “We value our long-standing relationship with Transense and the role this collaboration plays in advancing next-generation propulsion technology development.”

The work demonstrates how complementary capabilities across sensing innovation and aerospace system application can help advance technologies being explored for next-generation aircraft propulsion systems focused on improved efficiency, lower emissions and extended range.

Transense expands European distribution as digital tyre management grows

Transense at Hamaton and Tyresure UK Office

Transense Technologies plc has appointed Hamaton Ltd and Tyresure Ltd as preferred distributors for its Translogik tyre inspection tools and TIRETASK tyre management platform across Europe and the Middle East.

The agreement gives Transense its first dedicated distribution partner with operations in mainland Europe, expanding local availability, technical support and customer service through Hamaton's established sales and distribution network.

The move comes amid growing pressure on fleets and tyre service providers to digitise tyre management. The 2024 EU requirements for TPMS on new commercial vehicles and trailers, expected Digital Product Passport rules and the increasing use of RFID-enabled tyres are all reshaping how tyre data is captured, shared and acted upon.

The changes are creating a stronger market for connected inspection tools capable of delivering accurate, traceable tyre data.

Operating throughout Europe and expanding into the Middle East, Hamaton Ltd and Tyresure Ltd specialise in the sale and distribution of TPMS solutions and have built an extensive customer base across the commercial vehicle, tyre service, and automotive aftermarket sectors.

Under the agreement, Hamaton and Tyresure will supply the full Translogik range, including its TLGX tyre inspection devices capable of measuring tread depth, tyre pressure, TPMS and RFID, alongside the TIRETASK software platform.

Products will be stocked at Hamaton's German distribution centre, enabling faster delivery within the EU, simplified purchasing and local technical support in key European markets.

Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies plc, said: "This partnership is an important step in our international growth strategy. Hamaton and Tyresure have an excellent reputation across the European tyre industry, with the technical expertise, customer relationships and market reach to support wider adoption of our digital tyre inspection solutions.

"As fleets and tyre service providers increasingly digitise their operations, we're making it easier for customers across Europe and the Middle East to access Translogik technology through a trusted regional partner."

Martin Blakey, Managing Director of Hamaton Ltd and Tyresure Ltd, said: "Customers are increasingly looking for integrated solutions which provide better visibility of tyre condition throughout the asset lifecycle, whilst improving efficiency for fleet operations. Translogik complements our TPMS portfolio by adding advanced digital inspection and tyre management capabilities.

"With Digital Product Passports and RFID technology set to play an increasingly important role in the tyre industry, we're pleased to offer customers solutions that help prepare for the next generation of tyre management."

The preferred distributor agreement forms part of Transense's strategy to expand the international availability of its tyre inspection technologies through specialist regional partners while continuing to support customers directly and develop additional distribution partnerships.
